A Change in the Schedule

Hi there! I know that my posting schedule has been a bit all over the place since I started high school and especially since after Christmas when I had to study for exams and all that. I’ve been trying to convince myself that if I try to plan my time well and complete my tasks efficiently that I’ll be able to figure things out and continue to post everyday, but in reality, that is just not a possibility for me, at least not right now.

As a compromise (because I could never stop blogging, I love it too much), I’ve decided that I’ll post four times a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. This will at least last until July/August and if I can sort myself out by then, I might be able to return to daily posts. I’ve just been swamped with lots of different things right now that it’s just a bit too much for me to handle.

I hope that you guys all understand why I have to do this and that I’m incredibly thankful for all of you who are reading and following my blog, whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just found this yesterday.

Thank you so much for reading!

Sunday Funday: April 27/14

Just Breathe...
Image via We Heart It
Hi there! As crazy as my life has been recently, I think it’s only the calm before the storm. I’m not going to say that this is unfortunate because honestly, I love being busy, but sometimes, I wish I could make myself get more of the sleep and rest that I need.

I had some big projects and tests to worry about this week, but thank goodness that’s all over. As students are reaching the climax of the school year (I only have 35 days left, or so), things are only bound to get crazier. I have my big Spanish exam coming up in just two weeks along with other daunting assignments and evaluations I’d rather not think about. I just can’t wait until the year’s over so I can go to summer school and be reunited with my best friend from middle school who I – thank God – still keep in close contact with.

Just a Little Heads Up

Hi there! I thought it'd be rude to leave you guys hanging, but I have a crap load of work to do and other life stuff to deal with this week, so I'll be missing from this little blog until Friday at the earliest or Sunday at the latest. Just thought I'd let you know. I would've just settled for Twitter or Facebook, but I know that not all of you follow me there, so I figured I'd just tell you here as well.

It's my first year having to deal with so many commitments at once, so please just bear with me. Hopefully the second time around will run more smoothly. But after all, I'm just a teenage girl, aha.

Thank you so much for your understanding and I love you!

Sunday Funday: April 20/14

November. | via Tumblr

Hi there! This week has just flown by for me and I’m not sure whether to be happy or not. There are still a million things left on my to-do list, but for once, I’m not stressing too much, for once. I’ve actually been pretty productive, which makes me happy. Productivity makes me very happy.

How to: Kick Procrastination Out of Your Life

Image via Pinterest
Hi there! According to Charles Dickens, "Procrastination is the thief of time." It sucks the hours out of your day and you just can’t do anything anymore because you’ve somehow managed to waste all of your times. We’ve all been guilty of this because, well, we’re all human, but if it’s a regular occurrence, it can really affect your overall mood, productivity, and if you’re in school especially, your grades.

I was never absolutely awful when it came to procrastination, but I was still pretty bad. In middle school, I would always spend quite a bit of time after school watching YouTube videos, catching up on TV, etc, playing guitar for too long and stuff like that instead of getting right into my homework and getting it over with. That slowly changed so I was doing it the work with the distractions all around me which obviously made me rather unproductive. I still managed to get by with high grades because I’d ended up working really hard and in turn not getting enough sleep, which just isn’t healthy.

That’s why this year at the start of my high school career, I decided to change my procrastinating/unproductive ways because it was just ruining me. Keep reading to see how I did it.

Style Diary: White Dresses and Light Winds

Hi there! Happy Good Friday! I hope that you're all home and enjoying a day off, one of the four of this awesome long weekend. I have too much work to do this weekend, but I'm still happy to get a break from school, for sure (even though I can honestly say that I love school).

I have a thing for white dresses in the spring and since I'm visiting my grandma today, I figured it'd be appropriate. It was pretty windy when I took these shots, but I managed to avoid any Marilyn Monroe moments (thank God).

Prom Style Guide 2014: Inspiration

Tumblr
Image via We Heart It
Hi there! Prom season is here and if you're going, you've probably started dress hunting. If I've missed your prom, I apologise and I'm going to try my best to get this post up earlier next year. There will be two or three of these, I haven't quite decided yet (tell me in the comments what you'd like!) and the first one, as you could probably deduce from the title, is about inspiration and will pretty much be photo-heavy. Next week, I'll have a post with prom outfits that I've put together under $250. For the 3rd post (if you guys want it), I could either do a bigger budget or a smaller one, and anything else you might request.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. Let's take a look at some pretty photos!

What to Where: Easter Weekend

Hi there! Easter Weekend is coming up in just a few days and if you're anything like me, you have places to be and people to visit whether or not you religiously celebrate Easter (I don't). Even though I don't celebrate, I still want to be a bit festive, even if it's subtle because, well, if there's an occasion to celebrate, why wouldn't I take the opportunity to do so?

I already have a few plans for this weekend and I just can't wait to get the break. I don't really think I'll get a chance to breathe for long because I have a ton of work to do (school work, time-consuming extracurriculars, and blog work, but I'm super stoked about that). Even though I'm not a kid anymore, I'm kind of hoping that I'll get to have an Easter egg hunt of something because those are just the best, especially if they're Kinder eggs. I don't even understand how America can survive without those wonderful things.

Haul: Local Vintage Show

Hi there! First off, I'd just like to say a huge, HUGE thank you to guys for getting me to 40 followers both here and on my Bloglovin. It feels like such a huge milestone to me, so thank you so much!

As aforementioned, I headed to the local vintage show last weekend which was such a brilliant experience. The atmosphere was just as contagious as last time, but this time, I felt more confident walking in because it wasn’t my first time. I also happened to head in just as it opened, which made the trip just that much more awesome.

Last time, I went with my mom, so I took my good fashion-loving friend with me this time. We’ve been buzzing with excitement all week and when the Sunday came around, we couldn’t have been more excited. I’ve probably never been this excited about going shopping, to be honest.

I didn’t get any photos really this time of stuff I didn’t get, but I don’t feel so bad since I got quite a few things to show you. Let’s just say I bought more than a necklace and a pair of cowboy boots this time. Keep reading to check out what I got!

Current Love: Kimonos

Hey, I found this really awesome Etsy listing at http://www.etsy.com/listing/110527155/born-to-wander

Hi there! Kimonos were one of those pieces that I found a bit odd for people to be fawning over. I mean, the first thing I thought when I thought of the words were geishas not this boho trend that fits seamlessly into the Coachella scene. In summary, when I first found out about this kimono craze, I thought it was crazy.

After my prejudice, I saw more and more photos of the airy things and slowly fell in love with them. They're big and comfortable, the fringe is amazing, and I'm just a sucker for long pieces. Like big coats that hit at least mid-thigh, big cardigans that swallow my frame (but I don't really care, I just find a way to make it work), or maxi dresses or skirts. It's like a regal feeling, you know?

Sunday Funday: April 13/14

Hi there! I know, I know, I missed a post yesterday. I haven’t been very good with that lately, something I explained in my post on Friday (I’ve been focusing on school and extracurriculars I can’t exactly get out of). Since I’ve already explained the situation, I’m not going to waste time in this Sunday Funday repeating myself because that’s just pointless.

It seems as if I have a tendency to mention the weather whenever the occasion arises, so I’m going to take this opportunity to tell you about the crazy weather that’s supposed to be in store for me this upcoming week. I’m supposed to get a load of rain today and then it’s supposed to snow on Tuesday after steadily staying above 0 this whole week. Something about that seems a bit off, don’t you think? Something about a 20-degree temperature drop. (Ridiculous.)

Style Diary: Sweater Weather

Hi there! I'm honestly so excited to give you guys a proper Style Diary today. I feel like it's been ages (a couple months, actually) since I've been able to take decent shots for you, but here it is! It's getting so much warmer now, thank God because it's already April and if we hadn't gotten spring by now, I would've been ready to throw a fit.

Sunday Funday: April 6/14

Image via Tumblr
Hi there! It starting to finally feel like spring here. The temperature is starting to itch closer to 0 and I’ve broken out my lighter jackets and coats. It just sucks that Mother Nature decided to be all indecisive and crazy and cursed snow upon us once more yesterday afternoon. I’m just hoping that she’ll get over it soon.

I didn’t have as productive of a first week of April as I had hoped, but I’m hoping that things will take a turn for the better today. April Fools was definitely a funny one, though. I’m glad I managed to fool a few of you with my tiny little prank of a post. I was debating on whether or not to actually do it, but in the end, I just figured it’d be fun. And boy was I right.

Hi there! Coachella's coming up pretty soon, so I thought I'd share with you some ideas on what I would wear if I were lucky enough to go (I'm not) or any other music festival. If you want to read what I wrote last year, you can check that out here. So let's get into it!

Hi there! I have a really important post to share with you all today, so I’d really appreciate if you please, please read it all the way through. It’s something that I’ve been thinking about for a while now and I’m finally ready to tell you all about it.
